Six Days in December - published in March 2026

(only available from this website at present to early bird customers)
Subjects – David Sandeman and Dudley Bradstreet – Born Flamborough, East Yorkshire and Dublin, Ireland respectively in 1720.

Set mainly in and around Derby, it tells the story of the two double spies appearing to work for both King George the Second and Charles Edward Stuart (known as Bonnie Prince Charlie). It includes material that has been transcribed and copied by the author from the actual parchment manuscript written in December 1745 and explains the activities of the Derbyshire Blues Regiment, a militia that had been formed to stop the Jacobite rebellion proceeding to London whilst also protecting the population of Derby.

David Sandeman, one of the spies also briefly features in ‘One Day in May’.

Sammonsby

(Scheduled to be published in Summer 2026)
Subject – David Sandeman and others from the previous novels, this is a sequel to ‘Six Days in December’.

Set in the remote area of Yorkshire’s East Coast, at Flamborough.

Whatever happened to David after his horrific experiences in December. There was more than the honest toil of farming and fishing going on in these parts and there were amorous pursuits to punctuate a humdrum life (for some). Need to know more ? There’s only one way to find out.

Succubus

(Scheduled to be publised in Autumn 2026)
Subject – Lady Helen Bollingbrook(aka Nellie Chapman)

Set in the scenic area of the Hambleton Hills of North Yorkshire and Flamborough on the East Coast from 1774, her body finally disappearing into the salty brine of the German Ocean. God save her soul or should he?

This is a sequel to ‘The Day of the Spider’ but can be read as a separate novel. A Succubus is a She Devil, who lures her victims to their deaths using the charms she was born with (or those she acquired along the way?). Only you can say having heard of her past exploits. A must read for those who have met Nellie and know of her past.

Musings from my notebooks.

(An eclectic mix of short stories (Scheduled to be published in the summer of 2026)

A mixed bag of jumble for those who haven't time to read longer stories but equally entertaining for the more devout.

Helen on Earth (Working title)

(Scheduled to be published in September 2026)
