Write for your Health

Three years ago I was suicidal, I had, had enough of modern life and felt I couldn’t go on. I was on my way to the East Coast, leave my clothes on the beach and walk into the sea, I can’t swim. I chickened out but two weeks later I was determined to succeed. But saying goodbye to my crying daughter on the phone to strains of “don’t do it dad” between the sobs, I faltered once more.
Fast forward to today and I never felt better except for a few creaks in the joints. So what happened? Did I find God?
The answer, No I found a pen and started writing my autobiography. Who would be interested? Nobody I thought, so I wrote the first chapter of my first novel.

Today, as a publisher with three novels published and four more in the pipeline, plus a play and a murder mystery out for proofing, a website and social media presence I’m feeling ecstatic and would now like to pass my good luck onto anyone who has thought of writing a book but for any reason hasn’t risked it for whatever reason.
Their are many sharks in the writing and publishing world so I am willing to help any would be writers make a start.
Writing is therapeutic and stress drains away when you get the bug. But the nerves and uncertainty around being ripped off often stops an individuals creativity.
Today, The Yorkshire Fenix has a risk free offer available for the first 10 interested people to contact him. These 10 enlightened people will receive free admission to a two hour trial workshop in Derbyshire which will introduce them to this satisfying stress free pastime. The workshop will only be partially structured as individual creative ideas will be encouraged. No one has all the answers and collaboration is the name of the game.
The session entitled, “Don’t give up, write it down” will, subject to take up, be held at a mutually convenient time somewhere near Chesterfield in Autumn 2026.
If you might be interested in starting to write a novel and get it published at cost which you can market or just get a limited print run for fun or for family and friends, then contact me.
